“Computers are incredibly fast, accurate and stupid; humans are incredibly slow, inaccurate and brilliant; together they are powerful beyond imagination." - Albert Einstein
In Year 7 8 and 9, all students access two lessons per fortnight dedicated to the study of ICT/Computing as part of their curriculum. The focus is very much on the application of new software, including Multimedia and programming software whilst ensuring that the curriculum guidelines for ICT/Computing are covered.
In Years 10 and 11, all students can opt to take a course in Computing that matches their ability and learning style.
In Years 12 and 13, we currently offer the students the opportunity to study an AS/A2 ICT or BTEC IT. We will be moving towards offering Computing for Alevel students in September 2017.
