Quarrydale Academy believes that staff development is very important and invests both time and money for staff to attend training courses that are relevant to their development and which add value to the Academy.

Staff wishing to attend an external course should in the first instance discuss it with their line manager. If the line manager agrees that the course is relevant to the continuing professional development of the requester and will add value to the Academy, the details of the course including costs should then be sent to David Hutchinson – HR Manager.

David will discuss the course with the Finance section to ensure that budget is available and the course can then be booked.

After attendance on the course all staff should complete the training evaluation form (a copy is available to download below). It is important to complete this in detail and to be frank in your observations, as it allows the Academy to make informed decisions about training provision and providers of training for other staff who may partake in the future.
